  Nick J. Kieffer, 35 Anne Street, Kindred Arms Apartments, ClintonvilleAge 85, and former longtime Marion resident, passed away Thursday, Decemb er 21, 2000, at his apartment in Clintonville. The Beil-Didier Funeral Ho me of Marion is assisting the family.Nicholas Joseph Kieffer was born May 23, 1915, at Freedom, Wisconsin, a nd was the son of the late William and Ida (Verhoven) Kieffer. He gr ew up in the Freedom area, and was later united in marriage to Marcella Wi enandt on November 16, 1939. The couple had made their home at Marion sin ce 1940. Marcella passed away in 1977. On December 9, 1978, Nick was unit ed marriage to Anna K. (Schaly) Swietzer at St. Mary Catholic Church, Mari on. Anna passed away in 1994. Nick was employed for over 31 years at the M arion Plywood Corporation, working as a foreman. He had also worked f or a time for the FWD Corporation, Clintonville, the Marion "Pop" Factor y, the Marion theater and did farm work. Nick was a member of St. Mary Cat holic Church, Marion, and was a "Minister of the Eucharist" at his churc h. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, cards, and the "Packers."Survivors include two sons, William (Judy) Kieffer, Federal Way, Washingto n, and David (Jeanne) Kieffer, Menasha; two daughters, Elaine (Don) Mevi s, Westfield, Wisconsin, and Mary (Dale) Blum, Clintonville. There a re 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ida Kieffe r, Menasha; and Elaine Van Schyndel, Kaukauna; and one brother, Donald (Be rnice) Kieffer, Appleton. He was preceded in death by his two wives, fi ve brothers and four sisters.Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, December 27, 200 0, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marion. The Rev. Fr. Michael Ca rroll will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary Church Cemetery.
