Pacific Standard Time From: mohearn_brightstar@yahoo.comHi, I am interested in this famil from Buchanan, Wisconsin as a d escendan t.The census data has an older brother Andreas (listed in obits as Andrew) a pparentyly born about 1856 in Bohemia. Next born is Anton (my gg-grandfat her) born in 1858, probably in Austria as stated in his obit, although h is marriage certificate lists the place as "Agnola" which is a very sma ll town within a town in Northern Italy. Next born is Barbara whom you ha ve lsited for 1860 in Germany, and then Theresia whom you have listed f or 1852 in Germany. The family settled at Buchanan, WI arriving in Ameri ca in 1867. There is no record of Andrew being married. Obits indicat ed that he settled in Oregon. Sincerely, Michael O'Hearn Hi Jay, I have concluded that the Werner family were from Iglau (Jihval a) Moravia in the present day Czech Republic based upon the marriage certi ficate of Anton Werner in 1884 which lists his birthplace as "Ignola". The obit I sent you is actually for his son Anton. I do have the vital i nformation from the father's obit.Also, I have concluded that Henry Werner listed in the 1880 census for t he town of Buchanan is actually Andreas Werner based upon his age at the t ime and the similarity of names. He was married to Mary born in Germany ( Prussia) according to the census records. Their son Andreas Werner married Mary Reuter at Holy Cross Church in Kaukauna, WI on 23, September 1879 and the family resided at Buchanan, WI, Minnesota, and Washington State. another son anton married Katherine Smith of Mackville, WI on January 28, 1884 at st.
