Mrs. Catherine Marx, 88, 629 McClellan St., who lived with a daughter, Mrs. Marie Dellenbach, died there at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at Barden-Petersen Funeral Home at 9 a.m. Wednesday and at St. James Catholic Church at 9:30. The Rev. Bernard Duffy will officiate and burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery at Poniatowski. The body will be at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday and the rosary will be said there at 7:30 p.m. that evening.
Mrs. Marx was born in Harrison Township, Calumet County on Oct. 4, 1875, the daughter of the late Jacob and Gertrude Petrie Horn. Her husband Joseph, whom she married at St. John Church, St. John, Calumet County May 14, 1895, died on Nov. 17, 1935. The couple had farmed in the Town of Rietbrock for many years.
Surviving besides the daughter, are one other daughter, Mrs. Josephine Metz, 930 1/2 S. Fifth Ave.; a son, Jake, Marshfield; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Fisch, St. John, Mrs. Peter Dittler, Malone, and Mrs. Gertrude Lefeber, Fond du Lac; a half-brother, Jake Horn, Sherwood; 3 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
