- Mrs. Margaret Buhl, 82, widow of Frank A., formerly of R. 2, New Holstein, died Wednesday afternoon at St. Mary Home for the Aged in Manitowoc, where she had resided for seven years. The former Margaret Salm, she was born in Cleveland, April 30, 1892, daughter of the late John and Catherine Juchem Salm. She attended Chilton schools and was a life-long resident of the New Holstein area. On Feb. 25, 1919 she was married to Mr. Buhl at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chilton. He died Feb. 8, 1964. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein, and its Christian Mothers Society.
Survivors are a son, Frank of Neenah; six daughters, Sr. Lucille (Marie), principal of St. Paul Catholic School, Manitowoc, Mrs. Raymond (Isabel) Winkel of R. 2, Elkhart Lake, Mrs. Edward (Marcella) Meyer of R. 1, St. Cloud, Mrs. William (Viola) Janty of New Holstein and Mrs. Adrian (Delores) Peik of Wauwatosa; 25 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, Hugo, Andrew and Martin Salm, all of Chilton, and two sisters, Mrs. Math Weber of Kiel and Mrs. Mary Lorenz of Kaukauna. Four brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
