  CHILTON – ADAM BREIT, aged 77, town of Woodville, Calumet County resident passed away on Tuesday afternoon in St. Elizabeth's hospital in Appleton after a short illness. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Breit, he was born on January 15, 1866, in Germany. He came to America with his parents when he was seven years old and settled in town of Woodville, where he has since resided. He was married to Agnes Dohr on October 25, 1892, in St. John the Baptist church in St. John. Surviving him are his wife, four sons, Nick of Town of Woodville; Matt of Chilton; Peter of Chilton; John of Kaukauna; one daughter, Mrs. Anton (Tillie) Denzel of Brillion; 15 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Anna Kees of Appleton. Mr. Breit was a member of the Holy Name society of the St. John the Baptist church, which will attend the services in a body. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at the Eldridge Funeral home in Hilbert in St. John the Bapitist church in St. John. Sheboygan Press – August 25, 1943
