- Marian K. (Steger) Lambie, Kaukauna, age 93, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2013 at American Grand with her family by her side. She was born March 26, 1920 in Kaukauna the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Christensen) Steger Sr. Marian was a 1938 Kaukauna High School Graduate. From 1940 to 1951 she worked for Kaukauna Machine/Giddings and Lewis. On July 1, 1950 Marian married Stanley Lambie. The couple met at the Nightingale Ballroom where Stanley was a ticket taker and Marian was a coat checker. They farmed in the area their entire married lives. Marian was very proud of being bookkeeper for the farm for over 50 years. Stanley preceded her in death on August 25, 2003 after 53 years of marriage. Marian enjoyed traveling with friends, enjoyed bowling, was a "big time" Brewers fan and loved listening to Bob Uecker announce the game. Marian was a lifetime member of Peace United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children: Bruce Lambie (special friend Sue Matheys), Janet (Mark) Huss, Nancy (Dave) Engelhardt and Brian (Mary) Lambie; her grandchildren: Chrissy Lambie, Katie (Jay) Kunstman, Gina Lambie, Bradley Lambie, Scott (Brenda) Huss, Carrie (Aaron) Saks, Jenny (Jeff) Newcomer, Mike Damro (special friend Vennessa Sanchez), Natalie Damro, Kristin Engelhardt (special friend Bob Voight), Taycie (Paul) Schmidt, Chad Lambie and Aaron Lambie; her 10 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law: Darlene Steger, Betty Jane Steger, and Georgia Arndt; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her step-grandson, Jesse Engelhardt, 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law: Anna in infancy, Lorraine (Carl) Heilman, Betty (Arthur) Deeg; 3 brothers and a sister-in-law: Donald (Harriet) Steger, Robert Steger Sr. and Joseph Steger Jr.
Funeral Services for Marian will be held at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at PEACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 2300 Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna with Pastor Lucretia Fehrmann officiating. Friends may call directly at the church from 3:00 PM until the time of service. Entombment will take place in Highland Memorial Park.
