- Harold Wagner, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at Cher ry Meadows. He was born on December 3, 1916, in the Town of Center to Fr ed and Anna (Techlin) Wagner. On May 24, 1947, he was united in marria ge to Edna Wendt.Harold moved to Milwaukee in 1937 where he worked at Blatz Brewing Compa ny until he was drafted in 1942. He was then sent to Westover Field, Massa chusetts, for basic training after which he was assigned to the 872nd A ir Borne Engineers where he spent the next three years on the islands of t he South Pacific. After being honorably discharged in 1945, he return ed to Appleton where he worked at the Fox Tractor for three years. Haro ld then worked at Marathon/ American Can for 31 years until his retireme nt in 1981.Harold is survived by his wife, Edna of Appleton; two daughters, Christi ne (Michael) Thill of Greenville and Cynthia (Kenneth) Hipp of Greenvill e; two grandchildren, Kyle and Crissa Hipp of Greenville; two sisters, Ber nice Neumann of Appleton and Ethel Schabo of Appleton; a sister-in-law, Ar lene Wendt of Appleton; and several nieces and nephews.Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Anna Wagner; brother- in-laws: Walter Neumann, Lester Schabo, and Harold Wendt; and sister-in-l aw and brother-in-law, Ethel and Orville Techlin.Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 24, 2006, at Highland Memori al Park at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Henke officiating.
