- Early Resident . Of County Dies Mrs. Mary Sophia Kaphingst, 80, Grand Chute, Succumbs Saturday Mrs. Mary Sophia Kaphingst. 80, Grand Chute, died at her home about 7 o'clock Saturday evening after a week's illness. She was born in Germany and lived in this vicinity since she was 6 years old. Surviving are a daughter. Mrs. Laura Milder, Amberg, Wis.; a son, Edward, Kaukauna; a sister, Mrs. Louise Brockman, Appleton, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:45 Tuesday afternoon at Hoh Funeral home and at 2 o'clock at St Paul Lutheran church by the Rev. F. M. Brandt.
