  Loretta Berg, 89, Crystal, Minn., died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, at Crystal. Loretta Marie Klinkner was born June 6, 1916, at Viroqua, Wis., the daughter of George and Leona (Schmitz) Klinkner. She received her elementary education in the local school. She married John Berg on Feb. 13, 1943, at Ping Hollow, Wis. They lived in LaCrosse, Wis., where she was a homemaker. In 1959, they moved to a farm southeast of Gackle, N.D., where they farmed. He died Dec. 23, 1974. She moved into Gackle in 1975. In 2002, she moved to Crystal. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Gackle. She is survived by three sons, Ronald, Riverton, Wyo., George, Dickinson, N.D., and John, Gackle; five daughters, Mary Berg, Rita (Jerry) Schmidt, and Lori Berg, all Coon Rapids; Karen Berg, Minneapolis, Minn., and Charlotte Kuechle, Crystal; four sisters, Edith Chapiewsky, Sparta, Wis., Virginia (Herbert) Leisa, Cashton, Wis., Catherine Anselmino, Joliet, Ill., and Dorothy (Florian) Stremcha, Madison, Wis.; a brother, Leonard (Bernadine), Cashton; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sons, a brother and a sister. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, the Basilica of St. James, Jamestown, with the Rev. Al Bitz officiating. Prayer service: 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Haut Funeral Chapel, Jamestown. Visitation: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel. Arrangements by Haut Funeral Homes, Jamestown. Burial: Gackle Cemetery, Gackle.
