- Ralph F. Ploger of Manawa died Wednesday May 5, 2004 at Crystal River Nursing Home in Waupaca. He was born October 20, 1915 in Seymour, WI son of the late Henry and Milia (Tank) Ploger. On August 13, 1949 he married Gladys Wunderlich in Dubuque, IA. She preceded him in death November 10, 1999. They lived in Menasha a year before moving to the Town of Little Wolf near Manawa where they farmed. He retired in 1979 and move to Manawa. Ralph was a veteran of WWII having served in the European Theater of the war. He loved to fish.
He is survived by his children: Scott Ploger, Idaho Falls, ID; Ethel (Gary) Radloff, Manawa; his grandchildren: Randy (Michelle) Radloff, Tara (Todd) Wideman, Jeff Ploger, Gavin Ploger; his great grandchildren: Matthew and Brandon Radloff; Alex, Mason and Brooke Wideman; a sister: Mildred O'Connell, Appleton; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents and wife, two sisters preceded him in death: Esther McGuiness and Myrtle Reimer.
A memorial service for Ralph will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday May 7, 2004 at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery, Manawa. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
