- William H. Wichman Formerly of Route 3, Appleton Age 82, passed away Sunday evening at the Appleton Extended Care Center after a short illness. He was born December 18, 1892 in the Township of Center, Outagamie County. On may 22, 1917 he was married to Selma Finder. After their marriage, the couple farmed at Route 3, Appleton until they retired in 1960. Mr. Wichman was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Seymour and a member of the Lutheran Brotherhood of the church. He is survived by his wife; a son, Roy of Route 3, Appleton; four daughters, Mrs. Kermit (Fern) Lueck of Appleton, Mrs. Norman (Verla) Maass of Route 3, Seymour, Mrs. Stephen (Evelyn) Simon of Route 2, Black Creek, and Mrs. Lester (Eunice) Karweick of Route 2, Seymour; 21 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother Raymond of Appleton; two sisters, Mrs. Arnold (Louise) Muenster and Mrs. Edward (Esther) Young, both of Appleton. Three brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour with Rev. Phillip Paulson officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call at the Muehl Funeral Home, Seymour, after 3 p.m. Tuesday until 9 a.m. Wednesday and then at the church until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established.
