  Pauline Catherine Joosten, 87, of Greenville, passed away peacefully with her sons by her side on Friday June 28, 2013 at Living Tree Estates, Greenville. She was born November 29, 1925 in Little Chute, daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude (Croell) Vandenberg. Pauline married Stanley Joosten on August 25, 1953 at St. John's Catholic Church, Little Chute. Stanley preceded her in death on May 18, 1989. Pauline worked as a newlywed at Kimberly Clark. She later worked at Fox Valley Technical College until she retired in 1988. Pauline was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting afghans, reading and taking bus trips to the casino. Pauline and Stanley loved to travel around the country together. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family and friends. Pauline is survived by two sons, Mark (Connie), Appleton, and their two children, Mandy (Scott) Schewe, Menasha, and Ryan Joosten, Appleton; and Ronald (Michelle), Greenville and their three children, Kim (Mike) VerBockel, Kimberly, Brittany Joosten, Milwaukee, and Danielle Joosten, Greenville; daughter-in-law, Sheree Joosten (late Carl Joosten) and their daughter, Cortney Joosten, Appleton; four great-grandchildren, Kendall, Brynn, Mackenzie, and Talan; two sisters, Ione (Harvey) Minten, The Village, FL, and JoAnne Schroeder, Appleton; and one brother, Giles (Ev) Vandenberg, Appleton. Pauline was further preceded in death by a son, Carl; sister, June; and two brothers, Erving and Kenny. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM on Friday July 5, 2013 at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W Marquette St, Appleton, with Fr. Thomas J. Farrell officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Burial will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Little Chute. Pauline's family would like to extend a special thank you to Jackie and Tom and their wonderful staff at Living Tree Estates, Greenville, and Theda Care at Home Hospice, especially Pauline's nurse, Mary L. for all their care and compassion.
