- See Image Mrs. Alice D. Babcock 521 N. Union St. Age 91, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Saturday. She was born December 21, 1881 in Independence, Wisconsin and had been an area resident for the past 53 years. She was the owner of the Millinery Department at Gloudeman Department Store for over 40 years until her retirement in 1960. She had been a very active member of Altrusa and a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mabelle De Long, North Augusta, South Carolina; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Frank C. Babcock in 1949. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday from All Saints Episcopal Church with Father Ralph Stewart officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home from 4 until 9 p.m. on Tuesday. A memorial fund has been established.

- Miss Alice Dusenbery and Dr. Frank Babcock were married Tuesday at the Episcopal church of the Transfiguration at Ironwood, Mich. Ralph Dusenbery, brother of the bride gave the bride in marriage, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl DeLong of this city were the attendants. A dinner and reception at the St. James hotel followed the ceremony. Dr. and Mrs. Babcock will spend ten days at the northern lakes and in the Copper country.
