- Robert "Bob" R. Dix, 63, Brillion, passed away on March 18, 2011, at Garrow Villa in Brillion, following a brief illness. Bob was born on Aug. 25, 1947, in Appleton, son of Helen and the late Victor Dix.
He was employed as a truck driver and traveled the country with the Brillion Iron Works for 32 years. Bob served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He loved to travel, hunt and fish.
Bob is survived by his mother, Helen Dix; his two daughters, Tracy Schreiber, Pulaski; and Gina Dix, Green Bay; three grandchildren, Jackie and Jenna Diederich, and Garrett Spranger; five siblings, Patricia (Norman) Eickert, Brillion; Gale (friend, Rick Hansen), Iron River; Kenneth Dix, Greenleaf; Gerald Dix, Brillion; and Terrence (Connie) Dix, Chilton; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Victor; and two sisters-in-law, Nancy and Judy Dix.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion. Officiating at the service will be Rita Heraly. Military rites will be accorded by the Broedorn-Becker-Jensen Post 126 of Brillion. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m.
