De Coster, Christi ne T. (Hakkert)Christine T. (Hakkert) De Coster, of Combined Locks, age 89, passed aw ay at Franciscan Care Center in Appleton on Sunday, May 14, 2006. She w as born in Geladernalsen, Netherlands on July, 12, 1916, the daughter of t he late Leonard and Gertrude (Schook) Hakkert. On October 18, 1945, she ma rried her husband of 53 years, Richard De Coster. During World War II whi le Richard was serving overseas, Christine worked at the Riverside Paper M ill. Singing, playing her guitar, playing cards, golf, and bowling were a ll activities that she enjoyed and was good at. First and foremost, she en joyed being a mother and grandmother.Christine is survived by her children: Lynda Kitzerow of Appleton, Jeri (L arry) Polley of Combined Locks, Richard (fiance, Kay Dietzen) De Cost er of Hilbert, James De Coster of Hilbert, Barbara (fiance, Byron Vanderwa lker) De Coster of Seymour; grandson, Thomas (Nicole) Van Hammond; great-g randchildren: Taylor Ann and Ellison Marie; brother: John (Mary Ann) Hakke rt; sisters: Minnie Wulterkins, and Jackie Ebben, Helen Polakowski; sister s-in-law: Peggy De Coster, Barbara De Coster, Marion De Coster and Johan na Hakkert.She is preceded in death by her husband Richard, son-in-law, Dr. Earl Kitz erow; brother, Jake Hakkert; Richard's parents: Louis and Mary De Coste r; brothers and -in-law: Harry Wulterkins, Richard Ebben, Robert De Coste r, Clarence (Barb) De Coster, Chester De Coster, Joseph De Coster, and Luc ille (Charles) Miller.The funeral liturgy will be at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at HO LY SPIRIT PARISH, Kimberly Campus, 600 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly, with F r. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Wedn esday from 10 a.m. until the time of the liturgy. Burial will be at St. Jo hn Cemetery, Little Chute.The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and doctors at St. El izabeth Hospital and the nurses at Franciscan Care Center. A very speci al thank you is extended to Lisa Le Roy and May Fuchs for their compassion ate care of Christine.
