  Rick Vandenhoy, 54, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2009, at a local nursing home. Rick was born in Green Bay, on March 24, 1954, son of the late Richard Vandenhoy, Sr. and Arlene Blohowiak, who resides in Appleton. Rick will be remembered for his love of jigsaw and crossword puzzles, exploring the Internet, and camping and fishing in Arkansas. In addition to his mother, Rick is survived by his brothers and sisters, Patti Vandenhoy, Spokane, Wash.; Steve Vandenhoy, Green Bay; Mike Vandenhoy, Freedom, and his special friend, Peggy; Terry Vandenhoy, Combined Locks; Connie Boehm, St. Charles, Ill.; Carl Vandenhoy, Oshkosh; and Lynn Vandenhoy, Jacksonville, Fla., and her special friend, Donna. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Florence Vandenhoy, Little Chute; and Patty Vandenhoy, Seymour; nine nieces and nephews; and by a special friend, Peggy Ebben, Greenville. Rick was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Norbert Vandenhoy and Tim Vandenhoy; and a sister-in-law, Debbie Vandenhoy. A memorial service for Rick will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009, at the Wichmann Funeral Home in Appleton, with the Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating.
