  Virginia M. Cotton, 82, Appleton, passed away following a lengthy illness at Appleton Health Care Center. She was born October 7, 1926, to the late Archie and Mabel Patterson in Appleton. Virginia married Howard Cotton and he preceded her in death in 1993. She worked as an inspector at Zwicker's Knitting Mill for many years. Virginia was also a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Appleton. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Gloria Cotton (special friend Duwayne Hendricks); a son, Richard (Ginger) Cotton; a sister, Rose Ann Buss; grandchildren: Ann, Casey, Jamie and Skye; son-in-law, Steve Wildt and several great-grandchildren. She is further survived by sisters-in-law: Mary Patterson, Gladys (Clement) Wolf and Elaine Cotton as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Wildt: brothers: Walter (Marjorie) Cotton, Don (Alice) Patterson, LeRoy (Lorraine) Patterson, Howard (Dorothy) Patterson and James Patterson: sisters: Margaret (Arnold) Kriehn, Patricia (Larry) Rankien and an infant sister Dorothy; two brothers-in-law: Robert (Marie) Cotton & John Cotton. Funeral services for Virginia will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2009, at Star of Hope Chapel in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton with Rev. Kurt Kovanen officiating.
