- Died - At her home in Brant, on Thursday Nov 7th, Mrs. Catherine Knickerbocker, aged 65 years.
Catherine Blankem was born in Dutchess County, N. Y., in 1830. She spent her childhood days in her native town and in 1847 she was married to Adam Knickerbocker. In 1852 they moved to Brant, Calumet County, where she resided until called to join her husband who died a few years ago. She was a woman who made friends of those with whom she became acquainted. She was a loving and devoted wife and neighbor. She was a firm believer in Christianity and a member of the Methodist church. She was buried on Saturday from the Brant M. E. Church. Rev. Olsen preached the funeral sermon. Her remains were followed to the grave by mourning relatives and a large circle of friends and neighbors. Two sons and two daughters are left to mourn her death.
