She was born on December 1 4, 1934 in Little Chute; daughter of Sebastian and Helen (Arnoldussen) Hie tpas. She married Joseph Kees on August 20, 1957. Joyce was a faithful mem ber of St. John Catholic Church in St. John. She was a member of the St. J ohn Christian Mothers, the Catholic Knights, and enjoyed playing cards, ge nealogy and parties with her children and grandchildren. The annual pool p arty was one of her favorites. Survivors include her children; Mary Kees a nd Special Friend Larry of Appleton, Robert (Margaret) Kees of Hilbert, Jo seph (Lisa) Kees of Waupaca, Barbara (Terry) Preston of Whitelaw, Donna (C arl) Hanson of Brillion, Jane (Luke) Kopecky of Hilbert, David, Susan a nd James Kees of Hilbert, and Joseph Kees Sr. Father of her children, Sher wood. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren; Ellisha, David, Kyl e, and Nicholas Kees, Amy, Benjamin, Elizabeth, and Christina Kees, Sar a, Dawn, Robin, and Emily Preston, Adam and David Hanson, Adam, Heather, M arcus, and Anna Kopecky. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, a sister; Delores Hietpa s, sisters-in-law; Laver Kees, Lillian Kees, and Hildegarde Kees, and o ne bother-in-law; Leonard Kees. Funeral Services will be held at 11: 00 AM on Monday November 25, 2002 at St. John Catholic Church in St. Jo hn with the Rev. Kenneth Frozena officiating. Burial will be in the Pari sh Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home (411 W. Main S t. Chilton) on Sunday from 4 to 8 PM and again on Monday from 9 until 10: 15 AM when family prayers will be held. A parish prayer service will be he ld at 6:45 PM, followed by a Christian Mothers Rosary on Sunday eveni ng at the funeral home. A special thank you to all of her caregivers, fami ly, classmates, and good friends who visited her during her illness.
