  Paul J. Huiting, 84, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012, in Cathedral City, California. He was born on May 10, 1928, to the late Theodore and Sophia (Hietpas) Huiting, in Little Chute. Paul went to St. John Grade School and graduated from St. John High School. After enduring Wisconsin winters for more than he wanted to, Paul moved to California, spending most of his adult life in and around the mountains of Southern California. Though he dearly loved and missed his family, California truly became "home." Paul is survived by his two sisters, Germaine Schumacher and Marianne (Verl) Parker; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ted (Muriel) Huiting; a brother-in-law, Harold Schumacher. Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, 101 Canal St., Little Chute, with Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in at St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home until the time of the service.
