- Edgar H. Hopfensperger, age 6 8, died Wednesday morning at his home. He was born August 21st, 1925 in K imberly, the son of the late Matthew and Valeska (Stommel) Hopfensperge r. He married Irene Dorsey on July 12th, 1946 in Appleton. Edgar was emp loyed with American Can Corp. and retired to Winneconne in 1990. He w as a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Winneconne. He is survived by h is wife, Irene, of Winneconne, a son, Stephen Hopfensperger, of Cerus Cali f., three daughters and two sons in law, Patricia Engelmann of Santa Ro sa California Jesse and Tim Gill, of Tyler Texas, and Diane and Chuck Stew art, of Modesto Calif., four brothers, Craig, of Wrightstown, Carl, of Ind iana, Elwood, of Appleton and Jim of Black Creek, seven sisters, Eugenia H offman, of Appleton, Ernesta Wysocki, of Milwaukee, Geneva Hanges, of Appl eton, Charlotte, Guckenberg, of Appleton; Donna Bouressa, of Green Bay, Ra netta Voight, of Neenah, and Sharon Hopfensperger, of Menasha, eight grand children. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the Muell er funeral Home in Winneconne with Rev. Leroy Smet officiating. Burial wi ll be in the Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson California. Friends may ca ll at the numerous Mueller funeral home on Sunday from 12 noon until the t ime of services. Irene would especially like to thank the visiting nur se Association of Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh and Dr. Donald H. McDona ld and his office staff of Winneconne for all their kindness and considera tion shown to Edgar over this past year.
