- Joseph P. Schnepf, 86, of Schurz Street in Shawano, passed away Friday No v. 7, 2003 in Shawano.He was born on Dec. 28, 1916 in Washington County, the son of the late Jos eph K. and Margaret (Hausman) Schnepf. He was united in marriage to Elaine Frauenheim on Sept. 13, 1941 in West B end. He served in the Army's 475th Quarter Master Corp during World War I I. While living in West Bend, Joe was employed by International Harvest or and at several grocery stores. He owned and operated his own grocery st ore for five years before beginning his career in sales. He worked for t he Hilex Co. for 15 years starting in 1955 with his territory being northe astern Wisconsin. The family moved to Shawano in 1956. Joe was employ ed by Washington National Insurance from 1970-73 and as a broker for the T om Trump Co. from 1974 until he retired in April of 1985. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano where he serv ed as an usher and was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. He w as a member of the American Legion Post #117, Voiture 986 40et8 and the We st Bend Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; his three children, Jolane (Tom) Rank in of Shawano, Joseph A. Schnepf of Shawano and James (Christiane) Schne pf of Cedarburg; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sist er and brother-in-law Ange (Richard) Michels of West Bend. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. at Sacred Hea rt Church in Shawano with Rev. Len Evers officiating. Burial will be in Sa cred Heart Cemetery with Military Honors by the Shawano American Legion Po st #117. Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. on Monday at Swedberg Funeral Home in Sha wano and on Tuesday from noon until the time of service at the church. The re will be a Memorial Service on Monday at 7 p.m. and a Parish Wake Servi ce at 7:30 p.m.
