- Bernard J. Pritzl, age 78, of 20112 Manitowoc Road, Reedsville, died unexpectedly on Friday, Feb. 22, 2004, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.
He was born April 11, 1925 in Park Falls, son of the late John and Lucille (Neff) Pritzl. He married Rita Meyer on June 190, 1948 at Reedsville.
Mr. Pritzl served in the U.S. Army during World War II, where he was wounded in action. He then owned and operated Barney?s Sinclair Station in Reedsville, drove semi for Koch & Krueger and worked as a mechanic for LCL Transit until retiring in 1985.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion, the AMVETS Post No. 1032 of Reedsville, American Legion Post No. 199 of Reedsville, and the VFW Post No. 6179 of Cato.
Survivors include his wife, Rita, his children, Sandi (Larry) Cavanaugh of Brillion, Judy (Bill) Prull of Glenbeulah, Dennis (Gail) Pritzl of Two Rivers, Mary (LeRoy) Dreweiske of Greenleaf, Lori (Nick) Gonzalez of Manitowoc, Nancy (Jerry) Peterson and Beth (Dave) Schuh, all of Reedsville; 27 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a brother, George Pritzl, of Brillion. He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter Melissa, and two brothers, Glen and Raymond.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at noon at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 West Ryan St., Brillion. The Rev. Tom Long will officiate. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum in Manitowoc.
Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. The Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville is assisting the family with arrangements.
