- Dorothy R. Johnson, age 98, of Waupaca, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2009, at Bethany Home in Waupaca, WI. She was born April 2, 1910 in Waupaca, WI; daughter of Fred and Rose (Miller) Dahm. On November 5, 1929, Dorothy married Clarence Johnson in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1988. Dorothy enjoyed playing sheepshead with her card club since 1949. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church — Priscilla Circle, Riverside Medical Center — Auxiliary, charter member of the Danish Brotherhood, and the Rebekah Lodge in Waupaca.
Dorothy is survived by her sons: Quinten (Shirley) Johnson of Ogdenburg, WI; Peter (Virginia) Johnson of Ogdensburg, WI; grandchildren: Jeff (Terry) Johnson of Appleton, WI; Jerry (Debbie) Johnson of Menasha, WI; Jann (special friend, Thor Nelson) Johnson of Waupaca, WI; Jill (Jeff) Tyczkowski of Neenah, WI; Dean (Edna) Johnson of Waupaca, WI; David (Trisha) Johnson of Waupaca, WI; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Hanson of Waupaca, WI; sister-in-law, Katherine Hansen of Waupaca, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Rose Dahm; husband, Clarence Johnson; and two brothers, Frederick "Fritz" Dahm and Robert Dahm.
A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI. Reverend Dr. Charles L. Tews will officiate. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in the spring at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Bethany Home in Waupaca or to the Ladies Auxiliary at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
