  DeBruin, John J., "Bubbles, L ittle ChuteAge 55, died Thursday, December 4, 2003 after a courageous battle with can cer. He was born May 9, 1948 in Appleton; son of the Henry and Laura (Bose r) DeBruin. John married Juanita R. Shuckhart, Dec. 4, 1971 at Holy Name C atholic Church, Kimberly. Mr. DeBruin was employed at Appleton Papers f or 37 years. He was an U.S. Army veteran having served with the 7th Infant ry in South Korea. John was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bowling and bei ng with his wife, children and grandson.John is survived by his wife, Juanita; three children: Don DeBruin and fia ncee Carrie Golden, Kaukauna; Lorraine Ann (Steven) Haack and Mary Beth De Bruin, both of Little Chute; four grandchildren; brothers: Robert (Janice ), Kaukauna; Gordon, Carter, Oklahoma; Lloyd and fiancee Janice Jansen, Li ttle Chute; Harold (Carolyn) Pulcifer; Victor DeBruin and fiancee Jean Mos er, Freedom; sisters: Dorothy Hawley, Seymour; Elaine (Casey) Van Cuyk, Co mbined Locks; Judy (Jim) Menting, Little Chute; Genevieve Van Schyndel a nd Evelyn (Martin) Van Schyndel, both of Kaukauna; brothers-in-law and sis ters-in-law: Mary Ann DeBruin, Luxemberg; and Virgie DeBruin, Appleton; Ha rold Shuckhart, Kaukauna; Donald (Joan) Shuckhart, Forest Junction; Mary ( Dale) Arnoldussen, Agnes (Dennis) Hietpas, Margaret (Gary) Hoehne and Gl en Frank, all of Kaukauna; Juanita Guyette and Marge Kuntsman, both of Kau kauna; Doris Hoertsch and Joyce Boardman, both of Menasha; Leola Lodas, Cr andon; Edit Becker, Oshkosh; Dorothy (Dan) Haring, Tomahawk; numerous niec es, nephews, other relatives and friends. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen offic iating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends m ay call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday a nd at the church from 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the mass.
