- Ruth Dietzen, 76, Neenah, died peacefully at home, Monday, April 4, 2011 after a short battle with cancer. She was born July 18, 1934, in Neenah, daughter of Charles and Ann (Hopkins) Boushley. Ruth married Howard F. Dietzen September 19, 1958. She was employed as a waitress in many local restaurants, retiring 15 years ago. "If you've been hungry, Ruth's probably fed you". She was dedicated to keeping the local food pantries stocked, and enjoyed helping those in need. She was also known for her great sense of humor which made many laugh and the world a happier place. Ruth enjoyed winning at cribbage, had incredible luck playing bingo, and enjoyed her snowbird years with Howard in Mesa, Arizona.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Howard; children: Charles Dietzen; Joe Dietzen, Neenah; Randy Dietzen, Mesa, Arizona; Lauri (Hugo) Miranda, Neenah; foster child Mary Robare, Mesa, Arizona; five grandchildren: Chad Conway; Jennifer Dietzen; Carly, Celia and Samuel Miranda; brothers and sisters: Charlie (Betty) Boushley, Mesa, Arizona; Ronnie (Jean) Boushley, Menasha; Beverly Sambs, Menasha; Mary Huntoon, Appleton; Larry (Jackie) Boushley, Appleton; Darrell (Della) Boushley, Homosassa, Florida; three sisters-in-law: Rita Scharenbroch, Neenah; Helen Wisenski, Clintonville; Alice (Bill) Vanden Boom, Greenville; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters: Elaine Ciske; Jerome Boushley; Bob Boushley; Darie Heuring; a sister-in-law, Leona Kettner.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2011, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and from 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Ruth's name.
