- Bernice Josephine (Giese) Nadolny, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Parkview Health Center, Oshkosh, and was reunited into her husband's loving arms. She was born on May 9, 1920 in Menasha, the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary Giese. Bernice was united in marriage to Walter Thomas Nadolny in 1940 at St. Patricks Catholic Church, Menasha. Their marriage was blessed with six children. She was a generous person that always thought of others before herself. Bernice was a nurse's aide for over 24 years at Theda Clark Medical Center. After Walter passed in 1973, Bernice joined the Sweet Adelines singing group. Bernice enjoyed singing, sewing, nature and flowers, pets, fishing, bingo and going to the casino with her children.
She is survived by her six children: Arthur M. of Appleton, Thomas W. of Oshkosh, Barbara G. of Menasha, Patrick of Neenah, Mary Lynn (Richard) Payne of Neenah and Steven (Shirley Kelly) Nadolny of Germantown; two grandchildren: Aimee Hammill and Scott Eric (Christine) Nadolny; two great-grandchildren: Steven and Sarah and one sister, Jeanette Fascio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, two sisters: Agnes Shukoski and Joanne Scovronski; and one brother, Theodore Giese.
Memorial visitation will take place from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha. Inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Mary Cemetery, Menasha.
