  Willems, Richard H.Richard H. Willems, 65, of De Pere passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoo n, August 22, 2006, at a local hospital. He was surrounded by his loving f amily, who supported him through his seven-year battle with cancer. Rich w as born August 8, 1941, to the late Joseph and Marian (Ambrosius) Willem s. He graduated in 1960, with the first graduating class from West De Pe re High School. Rich served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966, includi ng a tour of duty in Viet Nam. On January 9, 1965, he married the former M ary Pat Rademacher at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom. Rich was a me mber of VFW Post 2113.In his earlier years, Rich enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his garde n, flowers and squirrels. Rich was devoted to his wife and was proud of h is children. He loved his granddaughters very much and the time spent wi th them baking cookies and cupcakes, playing in the pool, watching Pri ce is Right and High Fives always brought a smile to his face. A recent af ternoon of fishing at Mary's Pond will be something the girls will alwa ys remember.Survivors include his wife, Mary Pat, and their children: Bob (Dawn) Wille ms, Barb (Ed Wojkiewicz) Willems and Patti Willems; three granddaughter s: Taylor and Kelsey Willems and Saige Wojkiewicz along with Chloe Kleuske ns, whom he considered "another" granddaughter. He is further surviv ed by brothers, Joey (Joanne) Willems, Les "Sonny" (Diane) Willems, Jim (B etty) Willems, two sisters, Helen (Jim) Calhoun, Mary (Rick) Nickel, as we ll as his step mother-in-law, Agnes Rademacher and her family.He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marian Willems, a brot her, David and in-laws, Cliff and Rita Rademacher.Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, fr om 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday (TODAY) August 24, 2006. Visitation will contin ue after 9 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Parish Family, Lour des Avenue at Suburban Drive, until time of service. Mass of Christian Bur ial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Church with Father Tim Shillc ox, O. Praem., and Deacon Mike VanderBloomen, officiating. VFW Service wi ll follow the Mass. Burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
