- Brick, Carl L.Carl L. Brick, 96, Greenleaf passed away on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, No v. 22, 2001 at Ledgeview Nursing Home. Carl was born on Dec. 4, 1904 in As keaton, Wis., the son of the late Thomas and Jennie (Geier) Brick. On Sep t. 9, 1931 he married the former Frances Fontaine and the couple enjoyed o ver 51 years together. Frances preceded him in death on Nov. 19, 1982. Ca rl operated a farm for many years prior to owning and managing Bricks Clov er Farm Store until his retirement. Carl was active in education servi ng on the Brown County School Board in the late 1950's. He loved playing c ards and was an avid Bowler and Golfer. Carl was a member of the Greenle af Lions Club and volunteered for the Greenleaf Fire Department. He lik ed sports and greatly enjoyed watching the Packers, the Irish of Notre Da me and the Chicago Cubs. Carl was a longtime member of Saint Mary's and us hered for several years.Carl is survived by his five children and their spouses Albert and Germai ne Brick, Brillion; Frances Golden, Greenleaf; Carol and Jerold Diny, Allo uez; Jennie and Harlin Landry, Allouez; Richard Brick, De Pere; 17 grandch ildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law Jane Brick and Rosema ry Brick; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by one infant son Carl Jr.; one son-in-law Mark G olden; one grandson Michael; nine brothers and six sisters-in-law Josep h, John "Jack" (Margaret), Walter, Bill (Tudie), Mike (Julia), Ray (Eleano r), Thomas "Ed" (Marion), Lester, Norbert (Helen); two sisters and two bro thers-in-law Mary (Cliff) Gallagher; Ella (Glen) Clabots.Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001 at Schau er & Schumacher Funeral Home 340 S. Monroe Ave. Parish Wake Service 7 p. m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue after 10 a.m. on Monda y, Nov. 26, 2001 at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, 2212 Day Street, Greenle af. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Bob Kab at officiating. Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.Carl was kind and thoughtful to everyone who knew him. His greatest gift w as his wonderful sense of humor and his beautiful smile.There was no generation gap with him, he was as well liked by the you ng as he was his peers. He was very proud of his whole family and loved ea ch of them with his whole heart.He received so much joy from all his grandchildren and great-grandchildre n. He will truly be missed by all.We also would like to thank Saint Vincent Hospital 7th floor, Ledgeview Nu rsing Home staff and Father Bob for their kindness and wonderful care in h is final days.
