- Gonnering, Raymond J.Raymond J. Gonnering, 97, of Greenleaf, died Friday afternoon, May 13, 200 5, at a local nursing home. The son of the late Valentine and Elizabeth (H ein) Gonnering was born February 2, 1908, in the Town of Wrightstown. On M ay 27, 1936, he married the former Ida Tilkens at St. Willebrord Cathol ic Church in Green Bay. She preceded him in death on April 2, 1988. Ray w as dairy farmer in Greenleaf his entire life. He was a Fifty Year member a nd past-president of the Catholic Knights and was a member of the St. Mary 's Holy Name Society.Survivors include four daughters, Jean Krause; Ruth Sinkler; Diane and Bar ry Harrington; and Mary and Tom Howatt; one son, Mike and Trudy Gonnerin g; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife; two grandsons, Peggy and Chris Sinkl er; and one son-in-law, Allen Sinkler.Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, fr om 4 to 8 p.m. today (Monday, May 16, 2005). Parish prayer service wi ll be held at 7 p.m. There will be no visitation on Tuesday. Mass of Chris tian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 200 5, at St. Mary's Catholic Church , Greenleaf with the Rev. Bob Kabat, offi ciating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
