  Mauel, Richard A. "Rich"Richard A. "Rich" Mauel, age 65, of Kaukauna, passed away at the home of h is daughter in Greenville on Tuesday, March 9, 2004. Rich was born in Kauk auna on May 12, 1938, the son of the late Edmund and Lillian (Weyenberg) M auel. He graduated from the Kaukauna High School, following which he beca me a member of the United States Air Force. After his discharge, he return ed to Kaukauna and married the former Linda Siebers at St. Mary Catholic C hurch. For nearly forty years, Rich was employed by Thilmany / Internation al Paper. He was a lifelong, faithful, and active member of Holy Cross Cat holic Church, and enjoyed his Living With Cancer support group, his many f riends at THEO, and traveling.Rich is survived by his daughter, Janel (Rick) Sunde of Greenville; a so n, Jim (Leigh Ann) Mauel of Littleton, Colorado; two grandchildren: Mitche ll and Sabrina Sunde; a twin brother, Leonard (Arlene) Mauel of Kaukaun a; a sister-in-law, Karen Heidt of Huntington Beach, California; two broth ers-in-law: Tobin (Jill) Siebers of Ann Arbor, Michigan; and Robin (Jan e) Siebers of Rancho Murieta, California; a special friend, Lois Pomer oy of Kaukauna; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and m any friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Linda in 1998, and by Li nda's parents, Harold and Marion (nee Jansen) Siebers.The funeral liturgy for Rich will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 12, 20 04 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with F r. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. F riends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. and aga in Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. The re will be a parish prayer and scripture at the funeral home on Thursd ay at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Rich's name has been e stablished. FARGO FUNERAL HOME400 W.
