- Wittlin, Clarence E.Clarence E. Wittlin, "Buster", Greenville, age 79, passed away unexpected ly on Tuesday, November 02, 2004 at his residence. Clarence was born on Oc tober 22, 1925 in Appleton, son of the late Erwin and Elizabeth (Dorn) Wit tlin. On May 20, 1948 Clarence was united in marriage to Glenna Grossm an in Mackville. He lived & farmed in the Township of Ellington for mo st of his life. Clarence also worked for several years as a plumber, Fox T ractor and then at Hortonville Wire Products until his retirement in 199 0. He enjoyed spending time with his family, collecting model tractors, w as a member of the Greenville Seniors Card Club and was a volunteer firem an for the town of Ellington.He is survived by his wife of 56 years Glenna; a daughter Jane (David) Ket tner, Greenville; two sons: David Wittlin, Hortonville; Randy Wittlin a nd special friend Laurie, New London. Clarence is further survived by thr ee sisters: Marcella (Eugene) Paltzer, Appleton; Betty (Ernie) Paltzer, Ap pleton; Marilyn Nielson, Appleton; a brother Gerald (Winifred) Wittlin, Bl ack Creek; eight grandchildren: Matthew, Michael, Joseph, Christine, Ton y, Kim, Lindsey, Mitchell and also numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by a daughter Laurie Ann, a son Ronald, a daught er in-law Beverly Wittlin, a sister Evelyn Bauman and two brother in-la ws Cyril Bauman and Harley Nielson.Funeral mass for Clarence will be held on Friday, November 5, 2004 at 11 a .m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenville with Fr. Mark Vander Ste eg officiating. Burial will be in St Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Stephensville. Friends may call at the Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Hortonvil le on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. A 7:30 p.m. prayer service will held.
