- Norman Bartels, "Socks", Kaukauna, age 80, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2008, at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute. He was born April 1, 1928, to the late William and Ruth (Kessler) Bartels. Norman retired from The Bowling Bar in Kaukauna following several years of employment.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, John and Flora Bartels, Freedom, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert (Esther) and Donald (Shirley).
Norman's Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2008, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Friends will be received on Thursday at Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.
