- Karen Ann Thebo, age 73, of Weyauwega, formerly of Bear Creek, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Karen was born on March 20, 1943, to the late Glenn and Leona (Young) Phillips in New London. She was united in marriage to Norbert Thebo on May 2, 1964. They were married 51 years. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2016. Karen worked at Standard Kollsman in Oshkosh. She formerly worked at Simmons Juvenile Products in New London, the Clintonville Shoe Factory, and Marion Plywood. She will be sadly missed by her friends and neighbors.
Karen is survived by her children, Dan (Janie) Thebo, Paula Thebo, Tammy (Harvey) Zeinert and Jeff (Tammy) Thebo; 11 grandchildren, Beth, Lisa, Jonathan, Jared, Austin, Omar, Brianna, Dallas, Alejandro 'Hondo', Amanda and Angelina; great-grandchildren, Michael, Talon, Mark, Nicholas, Daniel, Mitchel, Owen, Isaiah, Kaylee and a soon-to-be great-grandchild; 2 brothers, Kevin (Crissy) Phillips and Kim (Tammy) Phillips and 4 sisters, Kathy (Gary) Peterson, Karla Wilson, Kay Burns and Kris (Kent) Hakola. Karen is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant daughter Lisa and daughter Pam.
A funeral mass for Karen will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at
St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bear Creek. Visitation will take place directly at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staffs at Crossroads Nursing Home in Weyauwega and Heartland Hospice for their tender care shown Karen; especially Angie Morgan who made Karen's stay feel like home.
