    Violet A. Duecker, born to life, December 14, 1929, in Chicago, IL, to Gladys and Raymond Thebo. Born to Eternal Life, May 1, 2007. Longtime resident of Shorewood.
    Beloved wife of Daniel D. Duecker for 55 years. Loving mother of Debbie Duecker of Greenfield, WI; Dave (Christine) Duecker, New Berlin, WI; Annie (Chris) DeSmidt, Shorewood; Proud grandmother of Petra, Susie and John. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
    Vi was a member of Kappa Delta, Shorewood Women's Club, Shorewood Senior Resource Center, former Columbia Hospital volunteer, former Girl Scout leader, former member of Shorewood Conservation Committee. Graduate of Lawrence University. She enjoyed creating award-winning flower designs which were often contributed to charitable fund raisers. She was one of the first volunteers for the Columbia Hospital pet visitation program. Vi was a special friend to many.
    Special thanks to Columbia-St. Mary's Hospice Staff, Dr. John Miller and Dr. Charles Tiber.
    Visitation will take place on Friday, May 4, after 4 p.m., at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 2490 N. Cramer St., Milwaukee, WI 53211, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 5:30 p.m. Interment Kiel Cemetery, Kiel, WI. If desired, memorials to SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Shorewood Senior Resource Center or the Hazeldon Foundation appreciated.
