Obituary:
Harold Abel 105 E. State Street Black Creek Age 83, died Saturday evening, October 14, 2000, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born June 6, 1917, in the Town of Cicero, son of the late William and Leischen (Ebel) Abel. On May 29, 1948, he was united in marriage to Rosetta Brandt in Black Creek. Harold was owner and operator of Brandt Implement since 1958.
He was a World War II Army Sergeant and a member of the Black Creek American Legion and a Charter member of the Seymour VFW. Harold was a member of the Black Creek Fire Department for over 40 years and was one of the original Black Creek EMTs. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Black Creek, where he was active in the church, serving on the council and was a past parish president. He served on three cemetery boards and was a member of the Black Creek Advancement Association. Harold was honored as Black Creek citizen of the year. He is survived by his wife, Rosetta. A son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Valerie, Black Creek. One granddaughter, Leisha. His brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roy and Elaine Brandt, Black Creek; Marion Freemore, Seymour; Shirley (Roger) Habeck, Seymour. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Carl, and three brothers, Lester, Vernon, and Le Roy. Friends may call at the Muehl- Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ, Black Creek, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of services with the Rev. Jan Davis officiating. Burial in the Black Creek Evangelical Cemetery.

HOLD LAST RITES FOR CICERO YOUTH
Cicero - Vernon, 10 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. William Abel died at 10:30 Thursday evening at his home after a serious illness of one week. He was born June 6, 1919 at Cicero, and is survived by his parents, three brothers, Harold, Lester and LeRoy. Funeral services were held at 1 o'clock Sunday at the home and 2 o'clock at St. John Evangelical church at South Cicero with, the Rev. Paul Beechen officiating.

Obituary:
Lester E. Abel Nichols Age 45, passed away Tuesday evening in an Appleton hospital due to a short illness. He was born December 31, 1921 in the Township of Cicero, son of the late Mr. & Mrs. William Abel For the past 22 years he was employed by the Nichols Cooperative. Surviving are his two brothers, Harold, Black Creek; LeRoy, Rt. No. 2, Seymour; three nephews and four nieces. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John's United Church of Christ, Township of Cicero, Rev. Elmer Becker officiating. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the Muehl Funeral Home, Seymour, after 2 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. Saturday and then at the church until time of services.
