    Havinga, Henry KimberlyAge 81, passed away on December 11, 2002, at Appleton Medical Center. Hen ry was born in Rossmalen, Holland on February 7, 1921, son of the late Pet er and Wilhelmina (Von Uden) Havinga. He served in the United States Ar my Quartermaster Corp in the South Pacific during World War II for 41 Mont hs. After his service, he married Edith Jane Vanden Heuvel in Kimber ly on May 14, 1947. He retired in 1983 from Appleton Paters (Locks Mil l) as a pipefitter after 43 years of employment. Henry was active in his c ommunity as a lifetime member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, memb er of the William Verhagen Post #60 of the American Legion in Kimberly, a nd served as President of the Union for two terms and further served on ot her committees. Henry enjoyed woodworking, reading and traveling.Henry is survived by his wife Edith, two children: Keith Havinga of Kimber ly and his children Randal and Kristle , and Kay (Jim) Zaddack of Newpor t, MN and Kay's children Gary (Roxann) Austin and Joe Austin; one siste r, Betty Mc Falls of New Berlin; one brother, Peter (Mary) Havinga of Phel ps; four sisters-in-law: Betty Havinga of Escanaba, Agnes Havinga of Kimbe rly, June Domer of Appleton and Pet Vanden Heuvel of Appleton; and numero us neices and nephews.Henry is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Carnie and Gilbe rt Havinga; one sister, Katie Andrejeski; and two brothers-in-law: John Va nden Heuvel and Orv Domer.The funeral liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 200 2, at HOLY NAME OF JESUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimber ly, with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Friends will be recieved at t he Jansen Fargo Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. a nd from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., also at the funeral Home. The Willi am Verhagen Post #60 of the American Legion will be conducting military ho nors at 6:45 p.m. followed by a wake service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Entom bment will be at Appleton Highland Memorial Park.The family extends a special thank you to the Nurses at 4 North at Applet on Medical Center for their compassionate care. The family further than ks Dr. Whiteside, Dr. Wilson, Dr. Price and especially Dr. Ebben and his n urses Terri and Judy, for their outstanding care.
