Obituary:
Jim Salmon, 69, of Eastman passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at his home.
He was born in Clayton township, Crawford County, Wis. to Jesse and Wilma (Lewis) Salmon. He married RoseAnn Flynn on Dec. 23, 1968.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1959 to 1963. During his life, he followed several professions: logging, truck driving, being a policeman, mechanic, building race cars, and farming. His family life, hunting and fishing were passions for him.
He is survived by four sons, Adrian Lomax of Madison, Randy (Lisa Thomas) Grancorvitz of Windsor, Wis., Marty Grancorvitz of Rio, Wis., and Shawn (Misty) Salmon of Wauzeka; three daughters, Kay (Dennis) Brown of Parkville, Mo., Tracy (Randy) Roberts of Seneca, and Shannon (Jim) Duha of Holmen; 24 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one brother, Bruce (Debbie) Salmon of Wauzeka; and two sisters, Margeret (Salmon) Hazen of Lynxville, and Crystal (Salmon) Landsness of Missoula, Mont.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2007; his parents; two grandchildren; and five brothers, Frederick, William, Harold, Larry, and Ronald Salmon.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, at St. Patricks Catholic Church at Seneca. Father Eugene Wolfe will officiate and burial will be in the Readstown Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Sime Funeral Home in Readstown and from 10:30 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church.
