Obituary:
Mrs. Leona L. Noe, 85, village of Howard, died Wednesday, March 1, 200 6, at a local nursing home. She was born March 17, 1920, in Duck Cre ek to Joseph and Angeline (Borchers) Nooyen. On June 21, 1939, Leona was u nited in marriage to Elmer Noe at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Th ey enjoyed 28 years together until Elmer preceded her in death on Oct. 1 6, 1968. Leona was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Parish. She w as an avid gardener and was well know for her wonderful flower gardens. Le ona was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed the time spe nt with her family.Leona is survived by five children and their spouses, Harold and Jean d'A rc Noe, Canada; Gerald and Janice Noe, Suamico; David and Sherry Noe, Mari nette; Shirley Drafz, Crivitz; Daniel Noe, village of Howard; 12 grandchil dren; step-grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other r elatives and friends.Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; her parents; a son, Rob ert Noe; a son-in-law, Douglas Drafz; a grandson, Todd Noe; two brothers a nd five sisters.Private family services will be held at a later date.
