Flanagan, Geraldine "Geri" nee Mc Peak
Geraldine "Geri" Flanagan, age 80, of Bear Creek, passed away on Thursda y, December 1, 2005 at Appleton Medical Center after a short illness in t he presence of her loving family. Geri was born on March 10, 1925, daught er of the late Earl and Vera (Cron) McPeak in Manawa, where her father owned the Manawa Creamery. In 1936 the family moved to New London and went i nto the dairy business, Geri and all the family took turns working. Geri g raduated from New London High School and then went on to Oshkosh Busine ss College. Geri worked in the office of the Bordens Company until her mar riage to David J. Flanagan Jr. on November 13, 1947, upon his return fr om World War II. They have resided in Bear Creek since that time. For t he next 23 years Geri did office work at Flanagan Bros. Sauerkraut Compan y. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Christian Mothers. G eri loved to golf and curl, she was a member of both the New London Golf C lub and the Clintonville Curling Club.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years David J. Flanagan Jr., a son, D avid Daniel, a daughter in-law, Julie, and a grandson, Beau Daniel, a ll of Bear Creek; five sisters: Vivian (George) Motto, Madeira Beach, F L; Pat Moriarty, New London; Dede (Ted) Raschke, Weyauwega; Sally (Pete) J ensen, St Petersburg, FL; Sharon (Bob) Peterson, New London; a brother, Te rry (Ruth Ann) Mc Peak, New London; three sisters in-law: Pat Mc Peak, Bet sy McPeak and Joyce Mc Peak.
Geri is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Dawn Peterson, two bro thers: Ercel and Michael Mc Peak.
Funeral mass for Geri will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at 11 a. m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bear Creek with Rev. Don Everts and Bi shop Robert Morneau officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Fr iends may call on Monday, December 5, 2005 from 4-8 p.m. at the Cline & Ha nson Funeral Home in New London a 7:30 prayer service will be held. Frien ds may also call at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of se rvice.
A memorial fund has been established.
