    Obituary:
    Ronald James Selig, 82 of Appleton, died Thursday April 10, 2014 at Rennes Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born December 4, 1931 in Appleton, son of the late Albert and Mary An (nee: Dexter) Selig. Ronald graduated from Appleton West High School in 1949. He married Joyce Fields on October 26, 1973.
    Ronald worked for Nash Finch as a semi truck driver for 40 years. He enjoyed spending time at his cabin, and hunting with friends and family in Crivitz. Ronald was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Appleton. Ronald loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who he loved with all his heart.
    Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Joyce; daughter, Tabitha (Jason) Gloudemans, Freedom; son, Brian (Heather) Balke; grandson Tyler Balke (special friend, Mariah); granddaughter Brittney Balke (special friend, Cory); brother Tom (Jeanne) Selig, all of Appleton. He is further survived by a sister-in-law, Lorene Lauscher; nieces, nephews, and many special friends. Ronald was further preceded in death by his son John; daughter Fawn Lynn; and brother Russell.
    Mass of Christian burial for Ronald will be 11:00 AM on Monday April 14, 2014 at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 N McDonald St, Appleton, with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday from 9:00 until 10:45 AM at the CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
    Ronald's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Theda Care at Home Hospice, Cherry Meadows, and Rennes Health for their wonderful care. And to Fr. Gerald Falk and Deacon Don Wetzel, for the many hours of praying and support.

    John A. Selig, 44, Appleton, a long time resident of Brewster Village, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007. John was born to Ronald and Karen (Davis) Selig on May 28, 1963. John was born early, leaving him with Cerebral Palsy. He was never able to walk. Ronald remarried Joyce Fields so John had a new mother for thirty-four years. John loved polkas and animals, especially Max, Maggie and Symba, who are Brittney and Tyler's dogs. He was a Packers Fan and loved wrestling.
    John is survived by his father and mother, Ron and Joyce Selig; sister Tabby (Brian) Balke; niece Brittney Balke and nephew Taylor Balke; stepbrother Michael (Susan) Centner and family, Uncle Tom (Jeanne) Selig and family, and many cousins.
    John was preceded in death by his birth mother, Karen; grandparents: Albert and Maryann Selig, John and Margarite Davis and Elsie Fields; Aunt Joan Pruitt; Uncles:John Davis and Russell Selig.
    The family would like to express a special thank you to the wonderful people who took care of John at Brewster Village: Father Falk, Don and Joan Wetzel, Sister Betty, Dan and Kay, Chaplin John, the Hospice nurses, Denise and all his family at Brewster Village.
    Funeral services for John will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday October 20, 2007, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, with Rev. Gerald Falk officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until time of mass. Private family burial will be at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
