    Obituary:
    George W. Ver Hoven216 Kaukauna St., MenashaAge 76, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday following a short illness. He was born February 25, 1896 in Menasha and had been a resident of Menasha most of his life. Survivors are his wife, Emaline; two daughters, Mrs. Edward J. (Rita) Mottl, Allenville, Mrs. Richard (Lois) Zolkowski, Menasha; two sons, Roy G., Menasha, and George M., Oshkosh; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Rose) Rodgers, Huntington Beach, California; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. at the Laemmrich Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Chruch, with Rev. Lambert Scanlan officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 until 9 p.m. Thurdsay and the prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday evening.

    Rita E. Mottl, age 88, Appleton, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2007, at Cherry Meadows in Appleton. Rita was born December 29, 1918, in Neenah, the daughter of the late George and Emmaline (Malenofsky) VerHoven. She married Edward Mottl on October 18, 1940, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Menasha.
    Rita is survived by her husband Ed, her children; Constance (John) Podolski, Neenah and Martin (Barbara) Mottl, Grand Chute, four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and also her brother George VerHoven, Weyauwega.
    She was preceded in death by a brother Roy VerHoven; a sister and brother-in-law, Lois (Richard) Zolkowski; and her sister-in-law Phyllis VerHoven.
    In regards to Rita's wishes, private family service will be held.

    George M. Ver Hoven, age 86, formerly of Oshkosh, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2007, at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega. George was born July 22, 1921, in Menasha, the son of the late George and Emmaline (Malenofsky) Ver Hoven. He married Phyllis Heinz, who preceded him in death on July 15, 1990. George had been employed at the mental health facility in Oshkosh, and had become the Mental Health Consultant for the State of WI. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. George was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Oshkosh. He built his own log cabin, doing the electrical and plumbing construction.
    George is survived by his three children: Victoria (Drew) Lecher, Naperville, IL; Vanessa (Terry) Bock, Waupaca; Bret (Ewa) Ver Hoven, Middleton; grandchildren; a brother-in-law Edward Mottl; sisters-in-law: Florence Ver Hoven, and Jane (William) Phillips, all of Menasha; nieces and nephews, and his godchildren Connie Podolski and Cindy Straw.
    He was preceded in death by his sisters: Lois Zolkowski and Rita Mottl; and his brother Roy Ver Hoven.
    Funeral services for George will be held 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 13, 2007, at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish at the St. Mary's Worship Site, 442 Monroe Street, Oshkosh, with Fr. Joel Sember officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Entombment will take place in Lake View Memorial Park. Military Rites will be preformed at the cemetery by American Legion William Verhagen Post #60 Honor Guard of Kimberly. A memorial will be established in George's name.
