Obituary:
Joan F. Wolf, of Kaukauna, age 75, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Joan was born May 6, 1931, in Neenah, to the late Alvin and Lucille (Zink) Kronforst. She married Robert "Bob" Wolf on June 30, 1951, at St. Mary's Church, Kaukauna, where she was a lifelong member. He preceded her in death April 13, 1967. Joan attended Kaukauna High School, St. Vincent's and Maternity Hospital in Chicago and Fox Valley Technical College. Until her retirement in 1997, Joan was a nurse for 30 years at Appleton Medical Center. Joan was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Ladies Elks Club and also was a supporter of Relay for Life. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed golfing, swimming and Swedish Weaving. After retirement, she cherished the time spent in Florida during the winter.
Joan is survived by her daughters: Lynn (Dan) Kotecki, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; Debra (Jim) Johnson, Aviano, Italy; Tracy Plichta, Flagstaff, Arizona; Jill (Jeff ) Rennicke, Bayfield, WI; and Donna Wolf, Little Chute; eight grandchildren: Jason (Charisse), Adam and Sam Kotecki; Jeremy (Kate), Matt and Josh Plichta; Katelyn and Hannah Rennicke; and special cousins, Jim and Jack Schlude.
In addition to her parents and husband Bob, Joan was preceded in death by her brother Gene Kronforst; her sister-in-law Mildred Kronforst; and a son-in-law Rich Plichta.
The Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2007, at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church (119 W. 7th St., Kaukauna). The Rev. Jerry Pastors will officiate. Friends may call Saturday, after 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass directly at church. Internment Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
The Wolf family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Heartland Hospice, especially Barbie, Christine and Sr. Ruth as well as Dr. Guenther and the entire staff at Martha Siekman Cancer Center.

Obituary:
Katherine "Katie" Witkowski, 56, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at home in Kaukauna. Katie was born on Aug. 24, 1954, to Gene and Mitzi (Van Dalen) Kronforst in Appleton. On Dec. 17, 1983, she married the love of her life, Chuck Witkowski, whom she knew she would marry the first time they met. Together they built a life together that she deeply enjoyed. Katie worked as a process engineer and an environmental engineer at Appleton Coated for 35 years where she was a loyal, committed and hard-working employee. Katie had a passion for children. She loved foster parenting for 15 years and hosted many exchange students. She generously opened her home and heart to everyone from friends and family to strangers and especially children. She embraced wholeheartedly any "assignment" God gave her. It was her desire to pass on her ethical and moral compass to her children that she received from her father. Katie gave quietly out of a loving and caring heart. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel St. Mary Parish and a card carrying member of the Republican Party with a firm belief in the founding fathers' principles.
Katie is survived by her husband, Chuck Witkowski; eight children, Stacey Witkowski, Brandon; Jennifer Wilkum, Waupun; Lucy (fiance, Isa Robles) Kronforst, Milwaukee; David Kronforst, Mexico; Christopher Witkowski, Okinawa, Japan; Kyle Witkowski, Milwaukee; Jeremy Witkowski, Kaukauna; and Jorge Witkowski, Kaukauna; two grandchildren, Kolton Witkowski and Daniel Wilkum; two brothers, Milt Nash, Neenah; and Phillip (Shari) Kronforst, Bryant, Texas; nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends; her beloved golden doodles "her girls" Maggie and Molly, "the boys" Calvin and Hobbes and the cats, Cesar, Sterling and Blue.
A memorial service for Katie will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at 7 p.m. at the FARGO FUNERAL HOME. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the Funeral Home.
