    Dewey, Helen J.
    Helen J. Dewey, age 84, formerly of the Township of Belle Plaine, Shawano County, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at the Pine Manor Health Care Center, Embarrass. Helen was born on September 7, 1923, in Appleton, the daughter of the late Alex and Loretta (Deltgen) Johnson-Mignon. On August 28, 1943, she was united in marriage to Vernon Dewey in Appleton where the couple continued to live. Helen later worked at Tony Wonders Supper Club, Little Chute. From 1958 until 1968, together the couple owned and operated the Do-We Grill, Appleton. In May of 1968 the couple moved to the Cloverleaf Lakes, Township of Belle Plaine, Shawano County where they owned and operated the Rustic Resort for many years. Vernon preceded his wife in death on July 20, 1994.
    Helen was a member of the United Methodist Church, Clintonville. She loved her dogs and her hobbies included crocheting afghans for the Veterans in King, WI, reading, and working crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
    Survivors include her daughter Barbara (Lawrence) Schewe, Greenville; three sons: Thomas (Special Friend: Jane Lewin) Dewey, Steven (Diane) Dewey, Appleton and David "Razz" (Chris) Dewey, Clintonville; eight grandchildren: Deanna Keaney, MA, Lisa (John) Daniels, Brian (Sara) Schewe, Greenville, Jennifer (Casey) Barry, Menasha; Kelly (Special Friend: Jason Wix) Dewey, Appleton; Ted Druckrey (Special Friend: Tracy Kosciesza), Clintonville; Stephanie (Scott) Tomashek, Shawano; Amy Druckrey, Embarrass; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Gerald (Bernie) Mignon, Kimberly; Jack (Janet) Mignon, Appleton; Raymond "Hap" Mignon, Little Chute; her sister-in-law, Alice Mignon, Little Chute; her brother-in-law: Merrill Potter, Appleton.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vernon, a son, Richard, her sister, June, and two brothers: Gordon and Donald.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2007, at the United Methodist Church, Clintonville, with the Rev. Roberta Thomson officiating. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m., Friday at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home, Clintonville, and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church until the time of the service.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. Condolences may be sent through www.eberhardtstevenson.com
