    Ellen Radloff, age 90 of Appleton, was called to the loving arms of Jesus after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease on April 11, 2016 at Brewster Village in Appleton. Ellen was born on May 2, 1925 in Appleton to the late Howard and Jennie (Van Wyk) Van Ooyen. Ellen was a woman of strong faith who always instilled her Christian values into her children. She was a prominent member of the Women's Guild at St. John United Church of Christ. Ellen focused all of her energy into helping others, from spending time with her family to knitting mittens and quilting blankets for those in need. She enjoyed going to the cabin and camping with her family. She loved spending time outdoors gardening, camping, and biking.
    She is survived by her children: Dennis (Bonita) Moericke, Russell (Nancy) Moericke, Renee (Jim) Hein-Hannay, Yvonne (Donald) Abel, Barb (Steve) Roehl, and daughter-in-law, Pam Radloff. Ellen is further survived by her siblings: Robert Van Ooyen, Nancy Gradl, and Bill Van Ooyen. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Radloff, and her son Willard "Willie" Radloff.
    The funeral service for Ellen will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 5 P.M. at WICHMANN FARGO FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior Street, Appleton. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:30 P.M. until the time of service.
    The family would like to thank the staff at Brewster Village for their loving and compassionate care of Ellen. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Ellen's name with all funds raised being donated to LEAVEN Crisis Foundation.

    Robert William Van Ooyen, 90, of Menasha died Friday February 10, 2017. He was born November 15, 1926 in Appleton, son of the late Howard and Jenny (Van Wyk) Van Ooyen. Robert married Mary Ellen "Mouse" Richlen on June 28, 1947. She preceded him in death on August 11, 2000.
    Robert served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He earned the Victory ribbon, American Area ribbon, Asiatic Pacific ribbon, and the Philippine Liberation ribbon. He has been employed at Kimberly Clark and Lakeland as an electrician. Robert enjoyed camping, and later relaxing around a campfire at their trailer at Chute Pond in Mountain with his wife, Mouse. He loved fishing in all seasons, sailing, playing Sheepshead. Robert always enjoyed having a beer with family and friends. He was a good story teller cracking everyone up with his own special brand of humor. Robert loved all the many dogs he had over his lifetime especially his faithful and constant companions, Marty and Barney. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at Briarwood Cottages, especially with his special friend, Yvonne Gregorius, who made his days happier, He played cards at Briarwood Clubhouse and enjoyed taking their money, but he always said "They want it back!", so back he went for another game!
    Robert is survived by his children: Susan (Neil) Buchberger, Daniel (Diane) Van Ooyen; six grandchildren: Jaime (Ed) Potopinski, Jessie (Alan) Stein, Jodey (Bob) Stocks, Abigail Van Ooyen, Brad Van Ooyen and Jenny Bootz; and five great-grandchildren: Amelia Stein, Braden Stein, Mason Stein, Riley Stein and Justin Stocks. He is also survived by two siblings: Nancy Gradl and William (Sue) Van Ooyen; a sister-in-law Gladys Mangaras; as well as many nieces and nephews.
    Robert was further preceded in death by three siblings: James Van Ooyen, Mary Richlen, and Ellen Radloff; four brothers-in-law: Robert Richlen Sr, Richard Radloff, Gene Gradl and William Mangaras; many nephews, and long time close friend Arlene.
    In keeping with Robert's wishes, no services will be held.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to both Judy Genske for all she has done for our Dad, including saving his life 2 years ago and especially for all her help the day he passed, and to a good friend Mary Fritsch, who was like a sister to us.

    Mark Richard Van Ooyen, Little Chute, age 57, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014. He was born in Appleton on March 6, 1957 to Donald and Mary (Meulemans) Van Ooyen. He was a graduate of Kimberly High School. Mark served in the Army and was a veteran of the Gulf War. He also graduated from Fox Valley Technical College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. Mark was the buffet chef at Main Event Steakhouse since its inception.
    Mark was a free spirit that followed the beat of his own drum. He was an avid gardener and co-founder of the Little Chute Garden Club. Mark also enjoyed cooking, fishing, and woodworking.
    Mark is survived by his son Uriah (Elissa), Iron Mountain, MI; grandchildren: Ivy and Ian Van Ooyen, Jessica and Hunter Pahl; father Donald; and sisters: Pat (Jeff) Austin, Laurie Austin, Lisa Berghuis and Amy (Dennis) Vandenberg. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Mark was preceded in death by his daughter Sativa Pahl; mother Mary; and brother John.

    John Anthony Van Ooyen, 50, of Little Chute, Wisconsin passed away on September 17, 2013 with family by his side at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI.
    John was born January 11, 1963 in Appleton, WI at St. Elizabeth to Donald and Mary (Meulemans) Van Ooyen. He grew up in Darboy, WI and graduated from Kimberly High School, class of 1981.
    John was a son, a brother, a father and a friend. His siblings playfully nicknamed him "Cubby" and to many he was known as " Chopper John." He resided in Kewaskum, WI for 20 years where he ran a local, wild game butcher shop. He enjoyed summers fishing and camping, where great family memories were made.
    John is survived by his father, Donald Van Ooyen; former wife, Linda Van Ooyen; four children, Ashley (Rebecca) Van Jetzer, Hannah Van Ooyen, John Van Ooyen and Mikayla Van Ooyen; one grandson, Ashton Van Jetzer; Five siblings, Pat (Jeff) Austin, Laurie Austin, Mark Van Ooyen, Amy (Dennis) Vandenberg, and Lisa (Rob) Berghuis; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
    John was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Meulemans) Van Ooyen.
    Farewell service for family and friends will be held at St. Michael's church in Kewaskum, WI on Friday October 18, at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Michael's Church at 8883 Forest View Rd, Kewaskum, WI 53040.
