    Obituary:
    Ronald "Ron" L. Vanderheyden, 71, Green Bay, was called to eternal life, Sunday, February 3, 2013, after a short battle with stomach cancer. Born in Green Bay, February 20, 1941, he is the son of the late Ralph and Iva (Schoen) Vanderheyden. Ron served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force stationed in France. He married the former Barbara Kaye, June 27, 1965, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Ron worked at H.C. Pranges which ultimately became Pranges Business Interiors. He loved fishing, hunting, times spent up at the cottage in Pembine, and bowling on Tuesday and Thursday with his senior bowling league. Ron's life was his family. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Brewer fan. Ron loved the church he grew up in, First Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he served as an Elder and Usher.
    He is survived by his wife, Barbara; 3 sons, Derek Vanderheyden, and his children, Alex, Mikaeyla, Clara, and Aurora, Jacksonville, FL, Darren (Angela) Vanderheyden and their children, Nolan and Hannah, of De Pere, and Ronald M. Vanderheyden of Green Bay; sister, Janice (Cliff) Fonder of Lakewood; 2 brothers, Gary (Audrey) Vanderheyden of Eagle River, and Robert (Julie) Vanderheyden of Morris, IL; sister-in-law, Linda Vanderheyden of Green Bay; canine companion, Molson; many other relatives and friends.
    Ron is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Daniel Vanderheyden; niece, Debra Maietta; and canine companion, Shadow.
    Visitation at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 743 S. Monroe Ave., Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Paul Schleis officiating.     The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Aurora BayCare Medical Center especially the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center for all of the special care provided to Ron and our family.
