    Obituary:
    Theodore Wickesberg, 92, a retired Town of Herman farmer, died Thursday at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wickesberg, R. 1, Elkhart Lake, Born in the Town of Herman on May 20, 1875, he was a son of the late August and Sophia Helming Wickesberg. He attended district school in Schwartzwald. On Nov. 9, 1901, he married Helen Renter, of the Town of Herman. The couple located on a portion of the Wickesberg home farm. Mrs. Wickesberg died Sept. 19, 1942. Since Mr. Wickesberg's retirement he made his home with his children. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Town of Herman, and served as church deacon for many years. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Oscar (Edna) Franz, Sheboygan, Mrs. Calvin (Ruth) Stuckmann, R. 1, Sheboygan Falls, Mrs. Paul (Viola) Marten, R. 1, Elkhart Lake, and Mrs. Arvin (Esther) Gutenberger, R. 1, Sheboygan; three sons, Herbert, Walter and Paul, all of R. 1, Elkhart Lake; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a sister, Miss Lena Wickesberg, and a brother, Alvin, both of Franklin. Two infant daughters preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Town of Herman, with the Rev. Robert Oppermann, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, from 3 p.m. Saturday until 10:30 a.m. Sunday and at the church from noon until time of service.

    Theodore Wickesberg, 92, of the Town of Herman, died Thursday at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wickesberg, Rt. 1, Elkhart Lake. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p-m- Sunday at Immanuel UCC; Town of Herman. The Rev. Robert Oppermann will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Wickesberg was born May 20, 1875, in the Town of Her- man, son of the late August and Sophia Helming Wickes- berg. He married Helen Kenter Nov. 9. 1901, in the Town of Herman and the couple farmed part of the Wickesberg home farm. She died Sept. 19, 1942, after which Mr. Wickesberg resided with his children. He served as deacon of Immanuel Church.     Esther Gutenberger, age 93, of 1009 N Wisconsin Dr., Howards Grove, died Sunday March 9, 2008 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was born in the town of Herman on September 16, 1914, a daughter of the late Theodore and Helene (Kenter) Wickesberg.
    On November 10, 1934, Esther was united in marriage to Arwin Gutenberger at the home of her parents in the town of Herman. The couple purchased their farm in the town of Mosel in 1937. Arwin preceded her in death on September 2, 1968. Esther moved to Howards Grove in 1982.
    Survivors include three sons, Carl of Wausau, Dr. James (Sharon) Gutenberger of Naples, FL, and Donald (Barbara) of Town Mosel; a daughter, Helen (Alan) Harms of Town Mosel; eleven grandchildren, Brian (Teresa) Gutenberger of Westby, WI, Susan (Kevin) Schlinkmann of Marathon, WI, Dr. Daniel (Jill) Gutenberger of Menomonee Falls, WI, Amy (Douglas) Poland of Madison, Ann (Louis) Aranda of Muskego, WI, Dr. Debra (Robert) Moede of Algoma, WI, Craig (Susan) Harms of Sheboygan Falls, WI, Sheri (friend Robert Patten) of Atlanta, GA, Jason (Fiancée Lauren Smith) Harms of Atlanta, GA, Cindy (Peter) Simonson of Sheboygan and Jeremy Aderhold of Port Washington, WI; seventeen great-grandchildren, Michele, Ryan and Logan Gutenberger, Taylor and Ellie Schlinkmann, Gretchen and Peter Gutenberger, Katherine, Nathaniel and Alexander Poland, Benjamin Aranda, Michael and Megan Moede, Holli, Hannah and Reymar Harms and Max Nabbefeld.     In addition to her husband and parents, Esther was preceded in death by three brothers and their spouses, Walter (Alice) Wickesberg, Herbert (Hazel) Wickesberg and Paul (Vera) Wickesberg; two sisters and their spouses, Edna (Oscar) Franz and Ruth (Calvin) Stuckmann as well as brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul Marten, Marcella and Gilman Wunsch and Reuben Gutenberger.
