Schmeichel, Verl J. Verl J. Schmeichel, age 77, of Crystal. Preceded in death by parents, Harold & Rosanna Schmeichel. Survived by beloved wife of 55 years, Ruth Diane; children, Dennis (Maureen), Susan, Barbara, David (Cheryl), Robert, William, Carol (Michael) and James; 17 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Eunice; brother, Delmar; many nieces and nephews. Verl was a member of Roofers Local #96 and enjoyed working on the St. Paul Cathedral and the Basilica of St. Mary. Mass of Christian Burial 1 PM Wed. at the Basilica of St. Mary, Hennepin & 17th, Mpls. MN. Interment Crystal Lake. Visitation 5-8 PM Tues. at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 39th & W. Broadway, Robbinsdale MN. and 1 hr. before Mass at church.
