Rentmeester, Milton J.
Milton J. Rentmeester, 86, passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, Melrose Park, Ill. Milton was a resident of Franklin Park, Ill., Green Bay, Wis., and Lakeland, Fla. Milton was a member of the Knights of Columbus, past president of the Franklin Park Kiwanis Club and member of the Door County, Wis., Kiwanis, and the Lakeland, Fla., Kiwanis. Milton was awarded the Silver Beaver Award for Distinguished Service as a Leader with the Boy Scouts of America. He was involved with the Special Olympics IB Franklin Park, Ill. Milt retired after 50 years of service from Nelson Steel and Wire Co. of Franklin Park.
Beloved husband of Arletta nee Barlament; loving father of Greg (Cheri) Rentmeester, Kathy Barth and Sandy Rentmeester; grandfather of Joseph, Nick, Angie, Courtney, Bradley (Carrie), Melissa (Josh) and Jeffrey; dear brother of Arnold (Bernice), Irma DeGrand, Marion (Irv) Ripp, Gene (Pat) and the late Reynold (Shirley); uncle of many.
Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish Wake Service 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace (Holy Martyrs Site). Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m., with the Rev. Robert Rhyner officiating.
