Obituary:
George F. Kailhofer, "Fred", Kaukauna, age 74, died peacefully on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 30, 1939, son of the late George and Gertrude (Hoffman) Kailhofer. On July 17, 1965, George married Patricia Jarvis in DePere. The couple lived in the Kaukauna area their entire married lives. George "Fred" was employed as the Advertising Manager for the Kaukauna Times for 50 years. He enjoyed bowling - with the same group since high school. He also loved hunting and gardening. George was currently vice president of the Friends of Governor Thompson State Park.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pat, Kaukauna; three sons: Andrew and his two children, Maxwell and Maureen, Shorewood; Christopher (Margaret), Madison; Nathan (Valerie) and their children, William, Annie and Lucy, Kaukauna; and a daughter, Maggie Kailhofer (fiancé Robert Rosenberger), Crivitz.
Memorial Service for George will be at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6. 2013, at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
